01 — Frequently Asked
Everything you
need to know.
Fitment, shipping, install, warranty — all the answers in one place. Can't find what you're after? Skip to the form at the bottom and ask us directly.
Fitment & compatibility
How do I check what fits my ute?
Tell us the make, model, year, and trim — and whether anything's already fitted in the tub (a shutter, sports bar, headboard, sailplane). Trim is not optional: Hilux Rogue ≠ SR5, BT-50 SP ≠ XTR, Wildtrak ≠ XLT. From there we'll point you to the right shutter, brackets, and platform.
Easiest way: send us a photo of your tub from the back and one from inside looking forward. Two photos and we'll have you sorted.
I already have a shutter from another brand — will your platform fit?
Standard fit on Mountain Top EVO, the dealer-fit BYD shutter, and EGR (we ship the larger channel nuts with the Hilux Rogue kit). For brands we haven't seen, we'll ask for a photo of the side rail and a slot-width measurement — we'll match the right hardware and tell you before you commit.
If you have an HSP shutter, our filler piece is still in development — give us a call and we'll add you to the list.
My tub is bare — can I fit your platform and tent without a shutter?
Not yet. Our platforms and cross bars currently mount via the shutter's T-slot side channels, so you need a shutter underneath. Two paths: fit our shutter first (full Akuma system), or use a third-party rack for the K'Gari V3 only — the tent itself is universal and mounts to any compatible rack.
We're building direct-to-tub-rail brackets that will change this. Call if you want to be on the list when they're ready.
What's the difference between Phase 1 and Phase 2 brackets?
Phase 1 ($349–$399) is for platform + cargo / cross bars without a tent — lighter load tier. Phase 2 ($599) is for any setup running the K'Gari tent — heavier dynamic load required. If a tent is going on later (Stage 2 of your build), it's worth going to Phase 2 from day one.
Will the K'Gari V3 fit on bare cross bars (no platform)?
Yes — three cross bars equally spaced (~75cm apart) across the tub, with the curved brackets that come with the tent. Our cross bars come as a 2-bar kit at $429, so you'd buy 2 kits (4 bars, use 3, spare in the garage) or ask us about a single-bar add-on. Tent rails default to running left-to-right — reorient front-to-back if your bars run the same direction.
Shipping & delivery
How long does shipping take?
In-stock items dispatch within 1–3 business days. Transit to most metro addresses is 3–7 business days; regional and remote can take longer. We'll send tracking the moment your order ships.
For full state-by-state estimates and freight rules, see our full shipping policy.
How is freight calculated?
Quoted per order based on size, weight, and destination. Large items (shutters, platforms, canopies) default to nearest transport depot for collection — door delivery is available at extra cost, with residential / tailgate service charges where they apply.
Can I collect from your Brisbane workshop?
Yes. Free pickup from our Brisbane showroom and warehouse, by appointment. We'll confirm when your order's ready and book a time that suits.
Do you ship outside Australia?
Currently Australia-wide only. For NZ, get in touch — we can quote larger orders on request.
Install & workshop
Do you fit the gear for me?
Yes. Our Brisbane install bay handles fitments by appointment. Shutter fitment is $499 manual / $599 electric. Platform, cross bar, and tent fitments are billed separately per job — we'll quote the full stack up front before you book.
What's the lead time for a workshop appointment?
In-stock items, normally within a week. Custom orders 4–6 weeks. We'll always confirm a realistic date when we book you in — we'd rather undercommit and have you in and out on time.
Can I install it myself?
Yes. Every product ships with full instructions and all the hardware you need. The shutters and platforms are designed to fit without drilling. If you're handy with a socket set, an afternoon job. If anything doesn't make sense, give us a call before you start — we'd rather have the conversation than untangle it later.
Warranty & returns
What does your warranty cover?
24 months from purchase date on the structural product — slats, frames, brackets, platforms, tent shells, mechanisms. Covers manufacturing and material defects under normal use. Doesn't cover damage from misuse, accident, or modification.
Warranty claims go through your order details — email or call and we'll handle it.
Can I return an order I've changed my mind on?
Unopened, unfitted items can be returned within 30 days for a refund less freight both ways. Once installed or modified, returns aren't possible — but if there's a fitment issue, talk to us first. Most fitment headaches are solvable with a different hardware kit, not a return.
What if I receive a damaged item?
Inspect the package before you sign for it. If there's visible damage, refuse the delivery or note it on the slip. Then send us a photo within 48 hours and we'll replace at no cost. Freight insurance covers in-transit damage — no fight.
General
Where are you based?
Brisbane, QLD. Showroom, warehouse, and install bay all in one location. Visit us by appointment — see the contact page for address and hours.
Are your products Australian made?
The range is specced for Australian conditions and put together as a system — but most products are manufactured offshore. Our support brackets are locally made. We're Australian-owned, with our workshop, install bay, and customer support all in Brisbane.
Do you offer trade or fleet pricing?
Same products, same pricing as retail today. The conversation is different though — if you're running a fleet or a trade business, give us a call and we'll talk install scheduling, ABN invoicing, and bulk timing.
Still Stuck?
Talk to
a human.
If the answer you need isn't here, we'd rather have the conversation than send you to a help-desk. Phones go through to the workshop, replies come back inside two business hours, weekdays.
